A Message to our Customers About COVID-19

Update 5/5/20 Regarding the SBA's Paycheck Protection Program (PPP):

We have been able to assist hundreds of local and area businesses through the SBA Paycheck Protection Program. Our primary focus is not only to assist our customers but also local community businesses in Burleson and the surrounding areas whose banks couldn't help them or chose not to participate in the program. As long as SBA PPP funds are still available, we will be working hard to get everyone uploaded, approved and funded. Thank you for allowing us to be there for you during this time. If we can be of any assistance, please call us at 817-295-0461.

Update 4/20/20 Regarding the SBA's Paycheck Protection Program (PPP):
Thanks to the SBA’s implementation of the Paycheck Protection Program (PPP) offered to small businesses, First National Bank of Burleson was able to assist 160 local and area businesses before the funds were quickly exhausted nationwide during the first phase of funding. Our primary focus was not only to assist our customers but also local community businesses in Burleson and the surrounding areas whose banks couldn't help them or chose not to participate in the program. Our staff worked extremely hard and spent extra-long nights, early mornings and weekends to get these applications uploaded and approved by the SBA. A strong business community is a strong community for us all. On behalf of First National Bank of Burleson, thank you for allowing us to be there for you during this time. Remember to not only shop locally but to bank locally and please remember those bankers who go above and beyond to work so hard for their communities.

Update 3/30/20:
We continue to keep our customers and our staff at the heart of every decision we make. We are closely evaluating the ever-evolving situation and are following guidance from the Centers for Disease Control (CDC) and public health officials. We will continue to provide services necessary for our customers while keeping everyone safe. To that end, here is an update on how we are continuing to adapt in order to protect the health and safety for everyone:
- Our lobbies will remain temporarily closed until we can safely reopen. With things changing daily, it’s difficult to determine when that will be at this time but we will continue to offer all banking services through the drive-thru.
- We are continuing frequent sanitation of all of our facilities including the ATMs and drive-thru areas.
- Please follow us on Facebook for the latest updates.
As always, we continue to invite you to bank online with us or through our mobile app or Moneyline (1-866-498-2488). Thank you for your patience and cooperation at this time. Stay safe!

March 18, 2020 - As the situation regarding the Coronavirus (COVID-19) is fluid and constantly changing and in an effort to best protect our customers and our staff, we will be temporarily closing our lobby as of noon on March 18, 2020. In addition to increased sanitizing efforts, there is merit to “social distancing” in order for us to practice the safest and healthiest way of taking care of our customers. We believe it is our responsibility to do what is necessary to stop the potential spread of illness at the recommendation of the Centers for Disease Control (CDC). We are offering all banking services through our drive-thrus at both locations. Deposits can also be made through our night drops after-hours. March 11, 2020 - Our highest priorities are the health and safety of our staff, our customers, and the well-being of the community we serve. To that end, we have activated our Pandemic Contingency Plan as a precautionary step in response to COVID-19. Our Plan follows guidance from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) and state and local public health authorities in the areas we serve. Invoking the plan ensures that we have the right level of resources and risk management devoted to your health and safety during this time of public health and economic stress.  The goal of this effort is to make sure we have a dynamic and appropriate response to the risk caused from this virus.  Unlike the common flu, there are enough unknowns that caution is warranted.

While not a comprehensive list, the Plan calls for:

  1. Increased cleaning and sanitization efforts in our private locations while reinforcing healthy habits for our staff including but not limited to washing hands often and staying home and not coming into contact with others if any symptoms are to arise;
  2. Keeping our products and services fully available to you whether you are able to come into the bank or not;
  3. Supporting our employees that are at-risk or have special needs;
  4. Monitoring the financial markets and discussing options for customers to meet their changing financial needs;
  5. Modifying, postponing or cancelling large meetings; and
  6. Enhanced risk monitoring and management.

Here at First National Bank of Burleson, our core values of being locally responsive, keeping a long-term horizon, focusing on our faith and family, helping our customers meet their objectives, and providing world-class service have never been more critical. Our objectives are not only an exercise in limiting business disruption, but of leadership in a time of need. We are in this together, and if there is anything that we can do to assist you, please do not hesitate to contact us.

As always, thank you for the opportunity to serve you.
